HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

1) Direct Contributions

COMAT is a 501c3 non-profit organization and donations to COMAT are tax deductible from your federal income taxes. 100% of funds donated to COMAT are used for their charitable works in supporting national and international martial arts competition and education. No officers or members receive a salary and all funds are free to be used by the Board and members meaning that your contributions are directly and effectively used to fulfil our charitable mission. In general, most charitable donations or gifts from donors are completely tax deductible, for large gifts it is recommended to check the IRS for its latest information on this topic (https://www.irs.gov/charities-and-nonprofits) or consult a tax professional.  COMAT can provide receipts, EIN/TIN information, and copies of our determination letter as necessary to substantiate your charitable donation.

2) Matching Contributions

If you are interested in making a charitable donation to COMAT you may want to inquire if your workplace provides matching contributions for your charitable giving.  Many businesses large and small have matching contribution programs to align their corporate charitable giving with the desires of their staff and members. A partial list of large Ohio companies with matching contributions can be found here (https://www.acluohio.org/en/companies-match-gifts).  This list is by no means complete and we recommend asking your workplace's Human Resources (HR) group if your workplace has a matching contribution program and the plan specifics. Matching contributions are a particularly effective method of charitable support because it provides a net benefit for the donor, the charity and your workplace; a real win/win/win for all.    

3) Business Sponsorship
